Amanda Wickramasinghe
Dr.Amanda Wickramasinghe is a dedicated and passionate educator, educational consultant, and a leader with an interest in the fields of Education, Leadership, Cognitive Development, Psychology, and Organizational/ Global development. Amanda has been in education for the past 10 years. She has served in multiple leadership roles specializing in curriculum, student success, retention, organizational psychology, coordinating graduate programs, and teacher preparation. For 10 years Amanda has been in education both as a student and educational consultant in developing strategic academic implementations to make effective changes in the education system. Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Amanda earned her Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Higher Education. Her graduate research work consisted of education and psychology specializing in cognitive development, leadership and improving educational methods. Amanda received her Doctorate from Pepperdine University and she is pursuing her second Doctorate in Global Leadership and Change. Amanda’s dissertation examined how the iPad tablets will improve education in private academic institutions from the teacher’s perspective. The research examined how the iPad will influence academic excellence; develop cognitive development and student success. As a researcher, her primary areas of focus consist of leadership, global leadership, education, psychology, organizational psychology, cognitive development, and curriculum. Pepperdine University recently selected her as an inaugural 40 Under 40 honoree for 2016.
